What is sonamedic?

sonamedic is an app with powerful sound to promote health and well-being. The sonamedic audio sessions combine modern acoustic processes, atmospheric nature recordings from our home in the northern Black Forest, individually composed music and verbal accompaniment. The sound worlds are ideal for relaxation and stress relief. But they also promote restful sleep and concentration. You can download sonamedic to your smartphone via the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

What is the best way to get started with sonamedic?

First, download the sonamedic app to your smartphone via the Apple App Store. You can listen to a few sound sessions for free to get a first impression of the audio session. When you open sonamedic for the very first time, you will find a short introductory session on the start page. Here you will get a short overview of the app's effect and functions. If you want to listen to all the audio sessions, you should take out a sonamedic subscription. When you subscribe, a free trial period begins. You can try out sonamedic to its full extent until the end of the trial period. During the trial period, you can cancel your subscription at any time via the App Store / Play Store without incurring any costs.

Do I need headphones to use sonamedic?

You don't necessarily need headphones to relax with sonamedic audio sessions. Most elements of the sonamedic sound, such as music, nature sounds or speech accompaniment, can be listened to through speakers without any problems. You only need headphones if you want the binaural beats included in the sound sessions to have their full effect.

I have forgotten my password, how can I get a new one?

If you have forgotten your old password or would like to change it, we will gladly send you a new password to your e-mail address. Go to the activity section. Select the cogwheel symbol in the top right corner. Scroll down in the settings and press login. Select Forgotten password. Enter the e-mail address of your sonamedic account. You will receive a message with a link to reset your old password and choose a new password.

Who has access to my personal data?

We at sonamedic take the protection of your personal data very seriously. However, we do collect data that you enter when you register yourself or that is automatically collected when you use our app and website. We may only use personal data if you have confirmed the privacy policy when creating your account. We will of course treat your data as strictly confidential and in accordance with our privacy policy. This information is used, for example, to ensure the error-free provision of our app and website, but in some cases data can also be used to analyse your user behaviour. In our privacy policy you can read more about how exactly your data is used and which rights you can assert with regard to the use of the data. You can of course revoke your consent to the use of your data at any time and remove your user data from our system, a completed active subscription will continue to run until the end date chosen in each case.

How can I unsubscribe from the sonamedic newsletter?

To remove your email address from the mailing list for our newsletter, simply go to one of the emails and scroll to the bottom. Here you will find a box with the option Deactivate newsletter. Click on this link and your email will automatically be removed from our mailing list. You will no longer receive news from sonamedic. You can easily subscribe to the newsletter again via our website.

Can I share my sonamedic subscription with family members? (Family Sharing)

If you own an Apple device, you can now share your sonamedic subscription with up to 5 family members. All you need to do is have one adult in your household create a family group and set up family sharing. Shared family members have access to all content in the sonamedic app. 1. 1. go to "settings" > "[your name]". 2. Tap on "Family sharing" and then on "Set up your family". 3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your family and invite family members.

How can I delete my user profile in the app?

The fastest way to delete your data: 1. In the sonamedic app, tap on "Activity" in the bottom right-hand corner. 2. Then go to the "Settings" menu via the cogwheel icon at the top right. 3. Tap on the entry "Delete data". 4. After a confirmation prompt, all your data will be deleted, i.e. your user profile including all downloads and other settings. If you have also taken out a sonamedic subscription, you cannot cancel this in the app, but only via your App Store. We cannot do this cancellation for you. If you need assistance with this, just let us know!

Which contents of the sonamedic app are free of charge?

In the sonamedic app you will find five categories: Stress reduction, sleep promotion, health, productivity and relaxation. You can listen to one audio session per category without a paid subscription or registration. There is also a short introductory session, which is also available for free. When you subscribe to sonamedic, a free trial period begins. During this trial period you have access to all content. You will only pay for your subscription after the trial period has expired.

I have taken out a subscription and am in the free trial phase. What does this mean for me?

Once you have decided on a subscription, a free test phase begins, during which all contents of the sonamedic app are available to you. This test phase lasts 14 days for a yearly subscription and 7 days for a monthly or three-monthly subscription. The app will only be charged after this test phase has expired. During the test phase you can cancel your subscription at any time.

What does the paid sonamedic subscription include?

When you take out a sonamedic subscription, you have access to over 100 audio sessions with individually composed music, spoken accompaniment, atmospheric nature sounds and modern audio technologies such as binaural beats. In the five categories of stress reduction, sleep promotion, health, productivity and relaxation, you will find suitable audio sessions for every situation in life. The sonamedic app receives updates with new content at regular intervals.

How can I cancel an existing subscription?

You can cancel an ongoing subscription at any time when the contract ends. This is not done in the sonamedic App, but via the App Store. On the today page, click on the account icon in the upper left corner. Select Subscriptions in the menu. Here you can cancel an existing subscription. The subscription will then expire after the time you have booked it for. So if you have a monthly subscription, you cancel at the end of the current month, a three-month subscription at the end of the current three months and a yearly subscription at the end of the year.

Where can I update my payment method?

You can update the payment method via the App Store. When you open the App Store you will be on the Today page. Select the account settings via the account icon in the top right corner. Now tap your name at the top of the page. Go to Manage Payments. Here you can manage your payment method and add new payment methods.

I have inadvertently taken out an incorrect subscription. How can I cancel my purchase?

If you take out a sonamedic subscription, a free test phase begins. During this trial period you can cancel your subscription at any time via the App Store. On the App Store today page, go to your account settings by clicking on the account icon in the upper right corner. You will now see the Subscriptions menu. Here you can cancel your subscription during the trial period without incurring any costs. If you have inadvertently taken out the wrong subscription and would like to cancel it, you will also be granted a 14-day return policy for apps. You can also cancel a mistaken purchase at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Log in with your Apple ID and password, click on the app you want to return and select the Report Problem option. Here you can choose from a variety of ready-made answers, including I accidentally bought the item or I want to cancel this purchase. The outstanding amount will be refunded within a few days.

Will my subscription to sonamedic be automatically renewed?

If you do not cancel your subscription before it expires, it will be automatically renewed for the same period at the same price. In this case you do not have to worry about signing a new contract.

How much does an automatic renewal of my subscription cost?

After the automatic renewal of your subscription, it will not become more expensive. You pay the same rate as you have paid before.

Which payment methods are accepted?

You can select your preferred payment method from the iOS App Store. Here you can choose between PayPal, credit and debit cards, billing via your mobile phone contract, Apple Pay or a Paysafecard as payment methods.

How to give away a sonamedic subscription?

If you want to give someone a sonamedic premium membership as a gift, that's no problem. You can get a voucher code for a monthly subscription, a three-month subscription or an annual subscription. Simply contact us at support@sonamedic.de. We will be happy to send you the voucher.

How to redeem a voucher?

If you have received a sonamedic voucher code, you can redeem it as follows. 1: Install the sonamedic app from the App Store. 2. Open the camera app on your smartphone and scan the QR code. If your smartphone cannot open the QR code, simply click on the link. 3. A notification "Open link in browser?" appears. Click on it. 4. My voucher /QR code cannot be redeemed

Please check the following points first: 1. Does an error message appear within the app when redeeming? Voucher codes can lose their validity after a predefined time, e.g. after the end of a promotion. Another possibility is that a voucher code that is only valid once has already been redeemed at an earlier time on this or another device. If you downloaded the sonamedic app for the first time in the course of redeeming the voucher: Did you follow the redemption steps in the correct order? Sometimes the voucher code is not recognised if you open the app before you have rescanned the QR code as described in the instructions. In this case, follow the instructions in How do I redeem a sonamedic voucher? 3. Sometimes an unstable internet connection can lead to errors when redeeming a voucher, for example because our server was unable to check the validity of the voucher code due to a brief interruption in the connection. My free trial subscription is suddenly a paid one

Each user can only use a voucher code once. If, for example, you activated a free 30-day subscription 25 days ago and then cancelled the subscription or deleted the app, this trial period is not extended when you download the app again. This means in the concrete example: if you redeem the same voucher code for a free 30-day subscription after 25 days, only 5 days remain until it expires. In the case of subscriptions that are extended for a fee, you will automatically receive a notice before the trial period expires that the subscription will be extended for a fee if you do not cancel it. Note: If, on the other hand, you have cancelled the trial subscription and not activated it again within the trial period, it will of course not be converted into a paid subscription.

What kind of audio session does sonamedic offer?

In the sonamedic app you will find audio sessions on the topics of stress reduction, sleep promotion, health, productivity and relaxation. What are binaural Beats?

It may happen that you do not immediately see your premium content after you have taken out a sonamedic subscription. Close the app completely and open it again. How much storage space does the sonamedic app take up?

How many meditations are currently available in the sonamedic app?

Can I set the length of an audio session myself?

In addition to the standard length of approximately 10 minutes, you can also activate 5-minute short versions of all content in the three-point menu of the player. It is also possible to determine the duration of a playlist or a single audio session via the sleep timer and the cycle mode (automatic repeat function). Here you can select different time periods.

Is there a recommended order in which I should listen to the audio sessions?

Basically, you can always choose which audio session you want to listen to at which time. If you are completely new to sonamedic, it is worth listening to the introductory session first. You will find it on the start page when you first log in, but you can also find it again at any time using the search function under "All sessions". All audio sessions are also compiled in playlists. These sessions build on each other both thematically and in terms of their sound design. For an optimal listening experience, it is recommended that you listen to these playlists according to their order. You can find the playlists under the menu item Search in the various categories.

What does the cycle mode icon in the player mean?

Via the cycle mode icon, you can set whether you want to play the entire playlist in which the audio session is located and whether this should only happen once or in an endless loop. A tap on the cycle mode icon lets you repeat the entire playlist, a second tap ensures that only the current session is repeated in an endless loop. The symbol changes depending on the setting. If you tap the cycle function a third time, you cancel the previous settings.

What does the sleep timer icon in the player mean?

With the sleep timer, you can set how long you want to listen to an audio session in an endless loop. This function helps you to fall asleep, for example. The session switches itself off after the desired time, for example when you fall asleep.

Do I have to follow the instructions of the speaker?

The main purpose of the sonamedic audio sessions is to help you relax. Reluctantly forcing yourself to follow the instructions is bound to have a negative effect. Instead, think of the speaker's instructions as a guide that you can use to your advantage, but by no means as a set requirement. Under the options for each audio session, you can even specifically switch off the speaker.

How often are new audio sessions added to the sonamedic offer?

The sonamedic app is continuously developed and regularly provided with new updates. In each update, content is added and existing content is revised or supplemented.

How does the reminder function work that is pointed out to me after an audio session has been interrupted?

If you interrupt an audio session prematurely, a window appears in which you can set a reminder to continue listening to the session. If you click on the "Activate reminder" field, you can set the time at which you would like to receive a reminder on your mobile phone. At this time, you can conveniently finish listening to the session.

I only want to hear the speaker (without music)!

To listen to an audio session without music, select the desired session and press the three-dot menu at the bottom right of the player. Here you can select whether you want to listen to the audio session with speech only, with music or with both in combination. The option "speech only" also includes nature sounds and the respective binaural beat in addition to the speaker.

How do I find a specific audio session again? - What do the favourites mean?

If you want to find an audio session quickly, you can add it to your favourites. Here you can find a session that you have not added to your favourites.

Why are the music and language versions of the audio sessions not in sync?

In the language versions, the parts where otherwise only music would play are cut out to ensure a better listening experience. That is why the different versions are not exactly in sync.

How can I change the language of the sonamedic app?

The voice output of the sonamedic app depends on the system language of your smartphone. Currently, only German and English are available. If you switch your system to English, this language is automatically adopted in the sonamedic app. You can change the system language in the settings of your smartphone. To ensure that all settings are applied correctly, you must close the sonamedic app completely once. Audio sessions downloaded via the download function remain in the download language and may have to be removed and downloaded again.
